The Board of Directors is hopeful that every player and all parents enjoy the season. With that in mind, please note the following information that should be helpful:

Team Assignments/Try-Outs/Protection

All players must try-out and be placed on a team, unless they are protected by a coach. Try-Outs will are scheduled and will be posted on the website as soon as possible.

PROTECTED PLAYERS - Protection of players for the divisions are as follows: Shetland (4) Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, Pony, and Colt (6) players per team, including coach children. Wrangler teams are created by the Division Director with the approval of the Executive Board.  You will be contacted by a Coach if they would like to protect your child. Players/Parents have the option to refuse offers of protection!

Team Assignments – If your player is in the open draft, you will be contacted by your new coach with your team assignments after the try-outs. Please make sure to get your coach’s phone number, and stay in touch!

Try Outs - If you do not attend try-outs as scheduled, you will be assigned a team by a lottery draw. Please come to Try-Outs prepared wearing the proper shoes, and clothing, as well as have your glove, and be ready to participate in the try-outs. All registration paperwork must be completed to include all forms, payment and birth certificate copies in order to receive your team uniform. Coach requests are not encouraged, and cannot be guaranteed. All refunds are subject to approval, and will not be granted based on team placement.

Communication - Please communicate with your Coach or Division Director, if you have any issues that need to be addressed, or need help at the start or during the season. Your help in making this a great season by being a good sport in the stands, coming to practice and games on time, and by supporting Bear Creek by using our Concession Stand when you are at the park is so appreciated!

Please keep the PINK Registration copy/receipt or your on-line registration copy and bring it to Try-Outs!

Practice Schedules – Will be given to your coach, and passed along to you. They will be posted on the website as soon as possible.

Game Schedules – Will be given to your coach, and passed along to you. They will be posted on the website as soon as possible.

Team Snacks – They are available at the Concession stand - and we would appreciate all teams supporting Bear Creek and purchasing the team snack. The cost is only $8.00 for the entire team!

BCPL Newsletters – We will have newsletters for you and your team at Registration, Opening Day, and at least one time during the season. Please pick up a copy from your coach or the concession stand. The newsletter will also be available on line for you to download.

Picture Day – Will be scheduled for a Saturday early in the Season. Please check with your coach or for updates on the website.

Trophies – Will be delivered to your Coach at the end of the Season. Please check with your coach to ensure that your players name is spelled correctly!

Team Mom’s/Volunteers – It’s important to help your team succeed by being available to be the Team Mom or Volunteer. Our organization is run by volunteers, and our Coaches need help with phone calls, e:mails, snack schedules, and arranging a team party at the end of the season. Please step up and help your player have a great experience. Take a look around the bleachers and the dug-outs, help keep them picked up. If everyone helps a little – the load is lighter!
